Fish Community and Environmental Data for 21 Florida Lakes from 2006-2021

This repository contains three data sets, all csv files, that contain summarized environmental data (Environ_Data_PRIMER) and total counts (LTM_totnum_summarydata_PRIMERrev.csv) and weights (LTM_totwt_summarydata_PRIMERrev.csv) for fish collected from lakes throughout Florida from 2006-2021 as part of FWC/FWRI’s long term monitoring program. Counts and weights are the total number or weight (in grams) of fish collected per 10-minute electrofishing transect. These data are suitable for a variety of purposes, but in this study, they were formatted for use in PRIMER-e to compare freshwater fish assemblages over time and identify environmental variables related to changes in these assemblages over time. Descriptions of environmental variables (Environ_Variables_Codes&Descriptions.csv), fish species code lists (Fish_Codes&Descriptions.csv), and source information for water quality data are also provided for reference.
