OWIDs compilation is the broadest single COVID-19 time series available; it is *not* a primary source. The dataset provides global daily compiled data for COVID-19, covering time from 2020-01-01 to 2024-08-14 with a daily cadence, and includes geography levels at global and national scales with 238 unique location IDs. It contains key metrics such as new cases, new deaths, ICU patients, hospital patients, weekly ICU admissions, weekly hospital admissions, new tests, positive rate, people vaccinated, people fully vaccinated, and total boosters. The data is compiled from various national sources with different definitions and reporting cadences, so caution is advised when interpreting certain columns like new_cases and positive_rate.
