Red drum mixed exposure long-term grow out study

This study was examining the influence of oil exposure long grow out studies. 15 individuals exposed to either control, low, or high oil dose were placed in a holding tank for 8 weeks. Length, weight, girth, height, and fin images were taken every two weeks to track growth. This was run in a resource rich and a resource patchy environment, where the feeding regime was altered based on the biomass of the tanks. Following the resource patchy study, when there was a significant difference between the specific growth rate of control and two oil doses, fish were either placed into an aerobic scope test or used for gene expression.
