资源简介:
This study compares repetitive DNAs across gymnosperms, with a focus on cycads. Cycads are known from the fossil record dating back to the Lower Permian, c. 300 million years ago.Today cycads comprise ten genera with c. 300 species, approximately one fifth of which are on the IUCN red list of threatened plants. In this study we employed genome skimming technique clustering and charactering the repeats in selected cycads to compare with other gymnosperm species, and; 2) examine patterns of repeat divergence across phylogenetically representative cycad species.
