Active methodologies and sustainability education in initial teacher training: questionnaire, discussion-group protocol and anonymised data

This dataset contains the instruments and anonymised questionnaire data from a sequential explanatory mixed-methods study on Early Childhood Education students’ perceptions of active methodologies and their contribution to education for sustainable development at the University of Jaén (Spain), 2023-2024. It includes the ad hoc questionnaire (52 items: knowledge of sustainability and the SDGs, practice of active methodologies, impact on sustainability competences, faculty involvement and overall satisfaction), the discussion-group protocol used in the qualitative phase, and the responses of the 195 students analysed in the related article (CSV and XLSX), with a codebook.
