资源简介:
David Haig proposed the kinship theory of genomic imprinting, which is an evolutionary account of the origin and evolution of imprinted genes. This theory could extend to the relationship between genomic imprinting and obese. We verified the extended theory using next-generation sequencing and found that paternally expressed genes are significantly down-regulated and maternally expressed genes are significantly up-regulated in the white adipocyte of obese mice. Thus, Haig’s theory also successfully explains the evolution of imprinting in obesity genes.
