NRS-9810 | Pilotage certificates

These certificates record the name, address, signature, age, and birthplace of the holder; the date issued, the running number of the certificate, the name(s) and tonnage(s) of the ship(s) which the holder was deemed competent to pilot; and the names of the ports, and the tonnages of the vessels, to which the holder was restricted. There are also copies of certificates previously granted and reissued on the loss of the original. These certificates were limited to British vessels engaged in the Australasian or South Sea island trade. (19/18912-13). 2 vols.
