Colon cancer cells after escape of late apoptosis [exp_2]

In order to explore the potential role of escape of late apoptosis in metastasis, we induced apoptosis and subsequently inhibited the death process in a primary culture of colon cancer cells. Here we wanted to explore the transcriptome of cells treated with the conditioned medium of these surviving cells. Thes cells have been treated for 48h with conditionned media previous RNA extraction and RNAseq. Primary colon cancer cells (CC14) were treated with conditioned media (CM) from cells treated with STS and 6h after with DIDS and Q-VD_Oph. After 48h of CM treatments , cells were harvested and total RNA extracted using TRIzol Reagent (Ambion) following the manufacturer's protocol. Each condition was independently processed in triplicates and the libraries were prepared using Illimina TruSeq protocols. The samples were sequenced on a HiSeq Illumina 2500 machine with 50bp reads followed by standard analyses.
