Drosophila guttifera has novel wing pigmentation pattern on its wings. The goal of this project is elucidate genes involved in formation of wing pigmentation in Drosophila guttifera. We aim to reveal which genes are expressed in the pigmented area and also aim to find downstream genes of wingless gene, the master regulator of wing pigmentation formation.
