Qualitative and quantitative results of samplings and surveys of cucurbit fields in Côte d'Ivoire (2023) in order to characterize the damages and diversity of fruit flies and explore which biotic and abiotic factors influence the most these variables. Global and local, environmental and agricultural variables, as well as counting of infested fruit to estimate the damages, have been surveyed in each plot and gathered in the plot dataset to analyse which variables are involved in the field damages of fruit flies. A dozen of fruits (cucumber and/or zucchini) have been collected in each plot, individually characterized (weight, length, number of fly punctures, ...) and monitored in the lab until fruit fly emergences. Flies have been counted and identified (sex, species). Fruit charcteristics and number of emerged flies have been gathered in the fruit dataset to analyse what kind of fruit are preferred for female oviposition and larval development. Finally, the total number of flies and fly species in collected fruits per plot have been reported in the plot dataset in order to analyse which surveyed variables are involved in the infestation level and diversity of fruit flies.
