资源简介:

Residential Growth in Growth Management Boundary | Squamish Community Dashboard This indicator tracks the percentage of residential growth (units) occurring within the designated Growth Management Boundary(GMB) established in the District of Squamish Official Community Plan (OCP Bylaw 2500, Schedule C). New properties are assigned a folio and roll number by BC Assessment for assessment administration, and categorizes the actual use code of the property. A folio is a collection of data, identified by a roll number, that consists of ownership, value identification, and other information required for assessment purposes. The data in a folio usually describes one parcel and any improvements on that parcel. For clarity, this indicator includes the following property classes, but no vacant land parcels: Class 1, Residential — single-family residences, multi-family residences, duplexes, apartments, condominiums, nursing homes, seasonal dwellings, manufactured homes, some vacant land, farm buildings and daycare facilities. Class 3, Supportive Housing —this property class only includes eligible supportive housing property that has been designated by Cabinet. Eligible supportive housing property is funded by the provincial government or a health authority. About this target: The vast majority (greater than 95%) of new unit residential growth occurs in the Squamish Growth Management Boundary Area. Analysis: New residential development within the District of Squamish continues to occur entirely within the District's GMB area, as defined in Schedule C of the Official Community Plan. In 2024, 100% of all new residential folios created by BC Assessment were situated within the District's designated GMB. This represented 136 new residential property folios created during the 2024 calendar year. Reason for monitoring: Focusing new growth in compact, walkable, mixed use neighbourhoods close to transit and services within the District's designated GMB allows for efficient and cost effective delivery of services, preservation of greenspace and environmentally sensitive areas, reduced GHG emissions and improved health.
