The use of transposable element analysis and other genomic tools to resolve the hybrid origins of the woody bamboos

To clarify the origin(s) of the woody bamboo tribes and resolve the nuclear vs. plastid conflict, we sampled 51 species of bamboo representing the three tribes and generated low-depth sample sequence data (coverage values are from 0.5X to 5.1X), using Illumina technology NextSeq (300 cycles, NGS DNA library) paired-end 150 bp.
