Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation at Church Farm, Somersham, and The Channel, Burstall, Suffolk, 2021

This collections consists of site images and GIS data from an archaeological evaluation at Church Farm, Somersham, Suffolk, and The Channel, Burstall, Suffolk. The archaeological works were undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology between August and October 2021. A total of 175 trenches were excavated across seven areas. The trial trenching revealed evidence for an extensive early to high medieval agricultural landscape across the majority of the evaluated areas, with some limited indication of earlier (prehistoric to Roman), and later activity also encountered.
