Participatory photography dataset: international students transition to UK HE

The data set includes the 52 photographs taken by the student co-researchers. 10 photographs have been withdrawn at the student co-researcher's request. The photographs were taken as part of a participatory photography project titled: "Exploring the transition of international students to UK Higher Education (HE) and how they adapt to studying on a masters programme.​" Each student co-researcher took between 10 and 15 photographs according to specific prompts, in February 2024. All of the student co-researchers who took the photographs were international students who started on the MSc Public Health in the 2023-02024 academic year. They choose the following pseudonym and identifier for the project: Dansoah - Ghana; Sharon Verma - United Kingdom; Ayeh Esmaeilitalesh - Iran; Lauren - Ukraine, England; Jallow - Gambia. The Excel spreadsheet includes filename, student co-researcher identifier, home country, image number, and caption or description as written by the student co-researchers. The PowerPoint slideshow includes the photograph alongside the student co-researcher's caption and chosen pseudonym and identifier. The anonymised transcriptions from the research interviews are available.
