资源简介:
We conducted a re-review of papers from two systematic reviews that assessed effectiveness of water, sanitation, and/or handwashing with soap interventions on diarrheal disease and acute respiratory infections to assess women’s roles in WASH research and intervention activities (PROSPERO: CRD42022346360). We re-reviewed papers from two recent systematic reviews published in The Lancet that assessed effectiveness of water, sanitation, and/or handwashing with soap interventions on diarrheal disease(1) and acute respiratory infections(2). Data were extracted from each article twice by independent reviewers using a common data extraction template in excel. 1. Wolf J, Hubbard S, Brauer M, et al. Effectiveness of interventions to improve drinking water, sanitation, and handwashing with soap on risk of diarrhoeal disease in children in low-income and middle-income settings: a systematic review and meta-analysis. Lancet 2022; 400(10345): 48-59. 2. Ross I, Bick S, Ayieko P, et al. Effectiveness of handwashing with soap for preventing acute respiratory infections in low-income and middle-income countries: a systematic review and meta-analysis. Lancet 2023.
