Dataset of a training program for the use of dental loupes

This study aimed to develop and evaluate the impact of a training program on the use of Galilean loupes to improve the ergonomic posture of dental students during preclinical training. This database contains information from dental students who have participated in a training program for the use of magnification loupes. Data include compliance with ergonomic posture requirements, angular deviation from the neutral neck position, muscle contraction of the back and neck, and self-reported perception of pain/discomfort in the cervical and upper back region. Based on this data, we concluded that the training program positively influenced student compliance with ergonomic posture requirements.
