The data shows the the observed Start Of Season values (in day of year) for each pixel in the time period of 2000-2023. The observation is derived from MODIS NDVI originally with 250 m x 250 m spatial resolution. The Hungarian grasslands were the subject of the investigation, specifically: Open sand steppes, Closed sand steppes, Salt steppes and meadows (grasslands affected by salinization in- cluded), and Closed grasslands in hills and mountains or on cohesive soil. The first 100 pixels are presented here. "Lat" is the latitude of a pixel. "Lon" is the longitude of a pixel. "MODIS SOS for 2000-2023": are the Start of season values (in Day of year) for the time period of 2000-2023.
