Chenopodium quinoa (quinoa) has been emerging as a key crop with the potential to contribute to food and nutrition security worldwide, due to its standout nutritional profile and ability to tolerate abiotic stress such as drought and high salinity. Quinoa inbred lines have been genetically classified into three sub-populations referred to as northern highland, southern highland and lowland group. To investigate the impact of high salt stress on gene expression in young quinoa seedlings, we analyzed the gene expression profiles of cotyledons and roots after 0, 6, and 24 hours of treatment with or without 600mM NaCl. We used Kd as a representative lowland type line, J075 as a representative northern highland line, and J100 as a representative southern highland line.
