The genus Emericellopsis has a wide ecological scale, as it is found in terrestrial and mainly in marine environments with a worldwide distribution. Although Emericellopsis is an important source of pharmacologically metabolites, natural products as well as the genes involved in its production is still poorly known. In this study, we report the draft genome sequence of E. cladophorae MUM 19.33 for setting up insights for biotechnological application. The genome was sequenced with the high-throughput Illumina HiSeq (sequence mode NovaSeq 6000 S2 PE150 XP). The genome of E. cladophorae is 26.9 Mb in size, with an N50 contig size of 315 653 bp, and encodes 8 572 predicted genes. The whole genome sequence of E. cladophorae provides a variety of secondary metabolites and gene components which highlight substantial data with medical, pharmaceutical and biotechnological applications in future.
