资源简介:
Adelie penguins were held in captivity and fitted with implantable body temperature transducers. Measurements were made every 30 minutes of body temperature and activity (orientation, posture, eye open/shut) of the bird, light intensity, air temperature, cloud cover, wind speed and direction and the number of penguins along 100m of beach. Birds were also held in experimental conditions including continuous natural light for 5 days, continuous dark for 4 days and 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark. No activity patterns could be monitored in darkness.
