Myrtaceae species comprise a model system for studying the evolution of tropical plant diversity as their distribution and richness. Syzygium samarangense [Bl.] Merr. et Perry is a Myrtaceae species that is known for its unique fruit shape, colorful and flavorful fruits, pharmacological properties and increasing economic relevance. Little information is available regarding its molecular biology, with no chloroplast genomic study performed on S. samarangense until now. Here, we reported the complete sequence.
