资源简介:
The panel data includes 65 countries, spanning the period from 1991 to 2020. Since the trade openness indicators of individual countries are missing in the World Bank database, I supplemented them by calculating and filling in the ratios of the corresponding GDP values of WITS to the total amount of import and export trade. At the same time, I linearly interpolate the missing values of GDP per capita and the missing values of education indicators for some countries to ensure the completeness of the data and the balance of the panel data. The data for the variables in the study were sourced from several databases. Domestic income inequality data were obtained from SWIID, trade openness and unemployment rates were sourced from the World Bank, and political and social globalization data were gathered from ETHz. The control variables, such as GDP per capita, foreign direct investment, and inflation, also came from the World Bank, while the instrumental variables, like land area and distance from the equator, were sourced from CEPII (Geo_dist). The data on economic development levels were derived from the World Economic Outlook (WEO) database of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
