Whole-genome sequencing of Chelonia mydas individual CH-NORMS1

This study presents whole-genome Illumina sequencing data generated from a single Chelonia mydas (green sea turtle) individual designated CH-NORMS1. High-quality genomic DNA was sequenced on the Illumina NovaSeq platform using 151 bp paired-end reads. The dataset was produced to support downstream analyses of genome structure, genetic variation, and comparative genomics in Chelonia mydas. The sequencing data contribute to conservation-focused research by providing high-coverage whole-genome reads that can be used for reference-based mapping, variant discovery, and assembly improvement. These data are intended to facilitate future population genomics, evolutionary studies, and methodological benchmarking for non-model marine species.
