Seasonal profiles and Surface Dissolved Iron from research cruises for the Northern Gulf of Alaska LTER site, 2018-2023

The dataset contains profiles and surface dissolved iron (< 0.2 micron) collected from the Northern Gulf of Alaska from 2018 through 2023 using a trace metal clean CTD rosette with modified external spring Niskin bottles (profile data), and a towed "fish" sampler with tubing attached to an air-actuated pump that transfers the water from the surface to a sampling station on the ship (surface data). The variable included is dFe (dissolved iron) with units in nanomoles of iron per liter of seawater (nM). Data was generated after preconcentration using a seaFast system and ICPMS detection. The file format is csv. This dataset typically includes one or two files from each seasonal cruise, one file from niskin bottles and one from the towed surface sampler. Some cruises are missing due to sampling interruptions caused by the COVID poandemic (SKQ202206S), equipment failures (SKQ202106S), and sample fouling (TGX202109, TGX202209).
