Amhara household panel on conflict, household outcomes, PSNP, and humanitarian aid during the Tigray crisis (2021–2022)

This dataset and information accompanies the paper "Do social and humanitarian assistance mediate the impacts of conflict on lives and livelihoods? Lessons from Ethiopia during the Tigray crisis" by Rachel Sabates-Wheeler, Camelia Vasilov, Mats Hoppenbrouwer, and Jeremy Lind.

This research examines how conflict interacts with social assistance and humanitarian aid to shape household outcomes in crisis settings. Drawing on longitudinal data from PSNP-enrolled households in Ethiopia’s Amhara region, the study investigates whether and how assistance - both government-led and humanitarian - may have helped mediate the effects of conflict spillovers from the neighbouring Tigray region.
