Desired Support System to Eradicate Urban Homelessness: An Exploratory Descriptive Study

The study employed quantitative technique. Descriptive statistics were used in the quantitative analysis. The study employed a social ecological model to investigate behavior of vagrants via multiple levels of influences including intrapersonal, interpersonal, organizational, community and public policy. Surveys have been conducted on sixty-five homeless and most of them were identified at kitchen soups held by numerous non-governmental organizations (NGO) around Kuala Lumpur. The interviews were conducted at the respondent's homeless location with their full consent. The measurement items applied for quantitative study for the design of the questionnaires include close-ended questions with 5-point Likert-type scale.
