Foreign investors South Korea 2012-2022, by type

In 2022, there were about 40 thousand foreign institutional investors and approximately 12.5 thousand individual investors registered with the Financial Supervisory Commission in South Korea. While the numbers of institutional investors outweighed those of individuals, the numbers of both have been steadily increasing since 2012.
