NSW Land Parcel and Property Theme –\nRoad Corridor\n\n\n\nPlease Note\nWGS 84 = GDA94 service\n\nThis dataset has a spatial reference of [WGS 84 =\nGDA94] and can NOT be easily consumed into GDA2020 environments. A similar\nservice with a ‘multiCRS’ suffix is available which can support GDA2020, GDA94\nand WGS84 = GDA2020 environments. In due course, and allowing time for user\nfeedback and testing, it is intended that these original services will adopt\nthe new multiCRS functionally.\n\n\n\nNSW Land Parcel and Property Theme Road Corridor is a polygon dataset that represents spatial\nextents of roads, and maintenance boundaries.\n\n\n\nNSW Land Parcel and Property Theme Road Corridor is made up of the following\ndata:Road Corridor -  Represents the spatial extent of the legal road network\n\nLand and property data underpins the economic, social and environmental fabric\nof NSW and is used, amongst other things to:\n\n\n\n·    Secure tenure\nfor access to capital\n\n·   \nDefine allowable use of land\n\n·   \nManage native title,\nnature conservation,\nheritage, protection, defence,\nand disaster management\n\n·    Improve infrastructure\nand property development planning\n\n·    Inform water and carbon accounting programs\n\n\n\nSpatial Services continuously\nupdates the Land Parcel\nand Property theme with information\nsourced from relevant stakeholders and custodians. The majority of updates to the datasets\nin this theme originate from\nsubdivision, registration and gazettal activity.\n\nThe data is up to date to\nwithin 10 working days from\nwhen a plan is lodged at Spatial Services. This dataset was captured by digitising the best\navailable cadastral mapping at a variety of scales and accuracies, ranging from\n1:500 to 1:250 000 according to the National Mapping Council of Australia,\nStandards of Map Accuracy (1975). Therefore, the position of the feature\ninstance will be within 0.5mm at map scale for 90% of the well-defined points.\nThat is, 1:500 = 0.25m, 1:2000 = 1m, 1:4000 = 2m, 1:25000 = 12.5m, 1:50000 =\n25m and 1:100000 = 50m.
