A) Addition of 10 µM DEA/NO to the bath solution for 10 min causes LTP of EPSC amplitude in cells from WT mice. B) Potentiation is not sustained in cells from P-Rex dKO mice. Data are mean ± s.e.m. of 6 cells each. Single sample t test was used to test for a significant increase in mean amplitude of five consecutive pulses at 10 min and 30 min post DEA/NO washout; p values were as indicated. Traces are average of 5 consecutive EPSCs from a representative cell before, 10 min and 30 min after DEA/NO application. Grey traces reproduce EPSC before DEA/NO for comparison.
