Exon Level Expression Profiling of Diabetic Nephropathy

Transcriptome comparison of glomeruli from kidneys with diabetic nephropathy (DN) and glomeruli from the unaffected portion of tumor nephrectomies. Transcritomics profile of glomeruli in DN patients explored SRGAP2 was strongly associated with proteinuria and involved in podocyte cytoskeleton organization We applied high-throughput transciptomics method and tested the gene expression profile of microdissected glomeruli from type 2 DN patients. RNA was processed using the Affymetrix® microarray platform (Human Transcriptome Array 2.0, HTA 2.0). Array data was processed by Affymetrix Expression Console software. No techinical replicates were performed.
