GeoRank City Climate Normals: sunshine, temperature and outdoor-comfort hours for 478 cities

Derived climate normals for 478 cities worldwide, distributed as a single JSON file. Each city record contains: monthly sunshine hours, monthly mean temperature, monthlydaytime-high temperature, monthly rainfall, annual sunshine total, latitude and longitude,and cost-of-living indices. It also contains an outdoor-comfort measure: the number of daylight hours per month thatfall within a comfortable apparent-temperature band (heat and humidity combined, not dry-bulbtemperature alone), together with the annual hours lost attributed separately to heat, cold,rain and wind. Sources and method: CHELSA v2.1 temperature and precipitation (1981-2010); ERA5 humidity andwind; sunshine derived from ERA5 and bias-corrected by inverse-distance weighting against 219WMO, KNMI, ECA&D and national meteorological-service reference stations (1991-2020 whereavailable), each listed individually with its own source and normals period.
