VIIRS Data

VIIRS（可见红外成像辐射仪套件）是由NASA和NOAA联合开发的空间传感器，搭载在Suomi NPP、NOAA-20和NOAA-21等卫星平台上。该数据库收集地球陆地、大气、冰雪圈和海洋的可见光和红外影像数据，提供从原始数据到高级分析产品的多个级别数据。VIIRS延续了MODIS和AVHRR等先前仪器的观测记录，特别设计了与MODIS雪盖和海冰算法兼容的数据产品，支持长期气候数据记录。VIIRS (Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite) is a spaceborne sensor co-developed by NASA and NOAA, and operated on satellite platforms including Suomi NPP, NOAA-20, and NOAA-21. This dataset collects visible and infrared imagery data of Earth's land, atmosphere, cryosphere, and oceans, providing multi-level data ranging from raw data to advanced analytical products. VIIRS carries forward the observational records of prior instruments such as MODIS and AVHRR, and specifically designs data products compatible with the MODIS snow cover and sea ice algorithms to support long-term climate data records.
