S. epidermis genome project. Staphylococcus epidermidis PM221

In this project we report the whole-genome sequence, including the four plasmids, of a S. epidermis strain PM221 associated with persistent bovine intramammary infections (IMIs) in dairy cattle. Compared to the human SE strains representing the commensal-type skin ATCC12228 and the virulent RP62A strains, PM221 is more closely related to the ATCC12228 strain.
