Measurement data for "Experimental study of prediction model of insertion loss of buildings for elevated noise source"
收藏资源简介:
This is a dataset of insertion loss of buildings from scale model experiment for publication: Q. Wang, K. Anai, H. Yano, S. Sakamoto, "Experimental study of prediction model of insertion loss of buildings for elevated noise source", Acoustical Science and Technology, e25.73 (2026), doi: 10.1250/ast.e25.73. This dataset contains measurement data of insertion loss of buildings (IL) from a scale model experiment performed in a hemi-anechoic chamber. The insertion loss of buildings characterizes the noise attenuation level caused by buildings compared to the case without buildings, which refers to the case of propagation in hemi-free field. The experimental setup is described in Sect. 2 of the publication, and the procedures for calculating IL is described in Sect. 3.1 of the publication. The dataset is intepreted in the following manner. First, each .csv file contains IL data regarding a specific receiver microphone position from one of the five building patterns [(a-e)] and one specific height of buildings $H$ and a specific height of noise source $h_\mathrm{s}$ (as indicated in the file name). Each file contains an numeric array of 6 rows and 85 columns. Each of the 6 rows are the data for one type of single-point IL $\mathit{\Delta}L_{\mathrm{B,P}}$. Rows 1-5 contain single-point IL at one octave frequency band from 125 Hz to 2 kHz (data at 2 kHz only contains data within 2/3 octave frequency band due to limited frequency range of measurement data), $\mathit{\Delta}L_{\mathrm{B,P},f}$. Row 6 contains overall levels of single-point IL regarding the road traffic noise (RTN), $\mathit{\Delta}L_{\mathrm{B,P,RTN}}$. The 85 columns of data are the single-point IL at different $\mathrm{X}$ positions of the noise source along the 100 meter simulated road. Note that, some cells are intentionally left empty as they correspond to points with low signal-to-noise ratio regarding the measurement conditions, so they are discarded both in the dataset here and the analyses in the main text.
