PurposeThis dataset has been published by Emergency Medical Services of the City of Virginia Beach and data.virginiabeach.gov.  The mission of data.virginiabeach.gov is to provide timely and accurate City information to increase government transparency and access to useful and well organized data by the general public, non-governmental organizations, and City of Virginia Beach employees. AttributesColumn: EMS Call NumberDescription: The computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system generates a series of numbers that uniquely identifies an incident. Column: Call LocationDescription: This is the 100- block number, street name, and City of the location of the incident. Column: Call PriorityDescription: The priority category that the call is classified under. There are three priority classifications.  Priority 1 – Based on criteria met during emergency medical dispatch screening, the patient’s condition has an increased likelihood of being life-threatening and/or emergent. Priority 2 – Based on criteria met during emergency medical dispatch screening, the information provided indicates the patient’s condition is potentially stable and not as emergent as Priority 1. Priority 3 – Based on criteria met during emergency medical dispatch screening, the information provided indicates a stable patient and that a delayed response (if necessary) will not adversely impact patient outcome. Column: Rescue Squad NumberDescription: The EMS rescue squad number of the unit responding to the incident. Column: Call Date and Time  Description: The date and time the call was received. Column: Entry Date and TimeDescription: The time the call was entered into the computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system. Column: Dispatch Date and Time  Description: The time the call was initially dispatched.  Column: En route Date and Time Description: Represents the first en route time captured.
