Genome wide binding and transcriptional profiling of Chd8 heterozygous mutant mice

Mutations in the gene CHD8 result in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in human patients. We generated Chd8 mutant mice and performed phenotypic and molecular investigations. CHD8 is a chromatin modifier and transcription factor and we therefore performed ChIP and RNA sequencing to investigate CHD8 binding sites and transcriptional networks, respectively. Knowledge of genetic elements downstream of CHD8 will aid in the understanding of ASD as well as the discovery of diagnostics and drug targets.
