This dataset supports the study "Geopolitical Risk and Its Impact on International Business Strategies." It comprises a balanced panel of 72 countries (28 developed, 44 emerging, including 12 Latin American) over the period 2000–2024, totaling approximately 1,800 country-year observations. Variables included: Global Geopolitical Risk Index (GPR) from Caldara & Iacoviello (2022); Foreign Direct Investment (% of GDP); International Trade (% of GDP); GDP Growth (%); Trade Openness (%); Institutional Quality (World Bank Governance Indicators); GPR lag (t-1); interaction terms GPR × Institutional Quality and GPR × Latin America.
