Revegetation and maintenance works at Werribee River Park

Werribee River Park is a large regional park of 230 hectares. The park supports significant natural values along the river corridor and is an important recreational area for the growing population of Wyndham. Since the park was opened in 2010, there has been significant weed control works and areas of revegetation. The Green Army project will focus on providing maintenance to the existing plantings to increase their viability into the future and improve park presentation. Additional weed control works and plantings will also be carried out in other defined areas to increase shade to park users and provide habitat to the rich bird life along the river. All works will be in accordance with the Werribee River Park Master Plan.
