Statistical test results for qPCR and RNA-Seq data comparison. The stage-specific data for each gene was tested for normality and sample variances using Shapiro-Wilkâ s test and F-test, respectively. This was followed by Studentâ s t-test and Mann-Whitney U test to check the null hypothesis that there is no significant difference in the gene expression data estimated using qPCR and RNA-Seq analyses, at the significance level of 0.01. Samples that showed significant difference in the expression between qPCR and RNA-Seq data are indicated by asterisk (*) symbol.
