NRS-17734 | Minute Books: Subscribers' and Annual Meetings [Royal Newcastle Hospital]

This series consists of the Minutes of Annual General Meetings of subscribers (or contributors) to the Royal Newcastle Hospital from 1894 until 1963. Previous Minutes are recorded in NRS 17728.The series is composed of two volumes, which cover the years 1894-1933 and 1934-1963 respectively. The earlier volume is cloth-bound with semi-rigid covers, and is now somewhat tattered, especially at the spine; the front and back flyleaves and the first and last pages also are now loose. The later volume is of the quarter-leather-bound ledger type, and, apart from a tear at the top of the spine and some slight wear, is in good condition. Minutes are entered into these volumes by hand until 1915, and as typescript sheets pasted in place from 1916 onwards. On occasion, newspaper reports of meetings have also been pasted into these volumes.
