Elucidation of human Mediator subunit Med26 in transcription regulation. Homo sapiens

Mediator is a coregulatory complex involved in regulating the transcription of Pol II-dependent genes. Previously, we showed that human Mediator subunit MED26 plays a role in the recruitment of Super Elongation Complex (SEC) or Little Elongation Complex (LEC) to regulate the expression of distinct genes. Our goal is to elucidate the reason why MED26 takes advantage of SEC or LEC to regulate distinct genes.
