The research was conducted in the fall of 2018-2019 in Tehran province, central Iran. Where the cultivated area of off-season cucumber is over 2700 ha (around 35% of the total cultivated area of the country). In general, most greenhouses in these areas are dedicated to cucumber cultivation although 1200 ha of the greenhouses produce ornamental plants and cut flowers. A statistical sample of all off-season cucumber growers in the study region was interviewed about production practices, inputs used, and output of greenhouse cucumber production.
