Gender differences and peer effects: The case of marathons (Dataset and code)

The repository contains the dataset and code used for the research project "Gender differences and peer effects: The case of marathons". The data contains the results (in seconds) of professional athletes from Russian marathons for the period from 2015 to 2022. In addition, the data includes athletes' best times, weather conditions, city, and year of competition. All data is collected from public sources.The code file contains regression models used to answer the question of how opponents influence the results of marathon runners.
