This study analyzes trends in antibiotic susceptibility among adult populations across Latin America from 2004 to 2023, with a particular focus on Enterobacterales, a clinically significant order of gram-negative bacteria. The analysis encompasses regional data with country-specific insights, including some proxy findings near to Peru, where resistance patterns have shown important shifts in response to antimicrobial stewardship efforts and healthcare infrastructure. Special emphasis is placed on evaluating susceptibility to commonly used antibiotics such as third-generation cephalosporins, carbapenems, aminoglycosides, and fluoroquinolones, highlighting both regional similarities and national-level divergences in resistance trends.
