Performance and Pedigree Data for Genetic Parameter Estimation of Spontaneous Liver Steatosis in Geese
收藏资源简介:
This dataset is composed of two files used to estimate genetic parameters for traits measured in geese slaughtered after the induction of hyperphagia, in order to produce foie gras without force-feeding. 1. Pedigree file: Contains information on the animals, their sires, and dams, all renumbered from 1 to N. 2. Performance file: Contains phenotypic performance data, associated fixed effects (sex, hatching batch, slaughter date), and the animal identifier (linked to the pedigree file). The measured traits are: • BW0: Body weight at hatching (g) • BW14r: Body weight at 98 days (g) • BW26: Body weight at slaughter (182 days ± a few days) (g) • BWG1426: Weight gain between 14 weeks and slaughter (g) • LW: Liver weight (g) • RLW: Liver-to-body weight ratio at slaughter (%) • CW: Carcass weight (g) • AFW: Abdominal fat weight (g) • BMW: Breast muscle weight (g) • BSW: Breast skin weight (g) • TW: Thigh weight (g) • L, a, b: Colorimetry indices • LCAT: Categorical variable used to characterize hepatic steatosis
