Here we developed an MDCK cell line, hCK, which expresses high levels of a2,6-sialoglycans and very low levels of a2,3-sialoglycans (avian virus receptors).We studied the isolation efficiency from clinical samples and the growth of human A/H1N1pdm, A/H3N2, and B influenza viruses in this new cell line.
