Land surface phenology observed by Near Surface Camera Network (NSCam)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset presents land surface phenology observations captured by the Near Surface Camera Network (NSCam), a ground-based observation system deployed across diverse agricultural and terrestrial ecosystems in China. NSCam provides high-frequency (hourly) high-resolution RGB imagery to monitor fine-scale vegetation phenological dynamics, filling temporal gaps left by satellite remote sensing constrained by cloud cover and revisit cycles. The dataset contains Green Chromatic Coordinate (GCC) time series, which enable the detection of crop growth stages, abrupt land cover changes caused by extreme weather and human activities, as well as the extraction of phenological parameters. Integrated with satellite remote sensing data (e.g., Sentinel-2), it enhances the accuracy and temporal continuity of land surface phenology monitoring for climate-smart agriculture, ecosystem dynamic research, and land change analysis.
