Pear (Pyrus communis) is threatened upon Monilinia laxa infections. In order to decipher the transcriptional expression profiles among two pear cultivars (cvs Kristalli and Sissy) in the Pyrus communis - Monilinia laxa pathosystem, an RNA-seq analysis at pear flowers (petals) was performed at 2 and 48 h after infection. The samples for RNA-seq were obtained from petals inoculated with the pathogen; mock inoculated petals were also analyzed.
