Channels

Open channels may be streams and rivers or they may be engineered drainage channels and parkways that fill during periods of high runoff. They form an integral part of the storm water drainage system acting either as receiving bodies or as a major conveyance system during periods of high runoff. NOTE: ArcGIS software graphically denotes direction of linear features by flagging the entity with a directional arrow (switch direction by using the “flip” command in ArcGIS). The order of the vertices determines the direction.
