资源简介:
This project investigated the genetic diversity of aerial insectivorous bats and associated ectoparasitic bat flies (Streblidae and Nycteribiidae), in Central America. Knowledge of Neotropical bat flies is limited, thus the aim of this barcoding study is to alleviate taxonomic uncertainty within this group and add substantial new information on diversity and ecology (e.g. host specificity) of these parasites. This NCBI BioProject contains DNA barcode records that were generated with support from the federally-funded Smithsonian Institution DNA Barcode Network.
